Alam niyo ba- may limitasyon na sa interest rates, fees, at penalties na pwedeng ipataw ng Online Lending Apps!
Sa batas, may kapangyarihan ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas na mag-set ng maximum interest rates na maaaaring ipataw ng lending companies.
Sa BSP Central Bank Circular No. 1133, s. 2021 at SEC Memorandum Circular No. 3 , may limitasyon na sa tubong pwedeng singilin ng OLA simula March 3, 2022.
Covered ang mga utang na unsecured, general-purpose, ‘di lagpas P10,000.00, at may loan tenor na up to 4 months.
Ito ‘yung mga required ang collateral o guarantee, at maa-aaply-an para sa anumang uri ng expenses.
Ayon dito-
Ang pinakamataas na nominal o basic interest rate:
Nominal Interest Rate = max 6% per month (~0.2% per day)
Ang Effective Interest Rate- dagdag ang fees and other charges tulad ng processing fees, service fees, handling fees, at verification fees:
Effective Interest Rate = max 15% per month (~0.5%per day)
Para sa late payment at non-payment fees:
Late and Non-Payment Penalties = max 5% per month on scheduled amount due
Ang kabuuan ng lahat nito- kasama ang interest, service fees, at penalties:
Total Cost Cap = max 100% of total amount borrowed (regardless of time the loan has been outstanding)
Ibig sabihiin, ang total ng lahat ng interest, fees, charges, at penalties na maaaring ipapataw ng OLA- katumbas lang ng amount na inyong inutang.
Hindi pwedeng lumagpas dito- kahit gaaano pa man katagal outstanding ang inyong utang.
Kung lumalabag dito ang OLA, may parusang multa hanggang P1,000,000.00), at pwedeng ipa-kansela ang lisensyang mag-operate.
